QEI provided an Assistant Resident Engineer on this $68M improvement project that consisted of the reconfiguration of the interchange at I-55 and Weber Road, as well as the construction of additional northbound and southbound lanes on Weber Road from 135th Street to 119th Street, including the structure carrying Weber Road over the interstate.
QEI completely redecked the existing bridge structure carrying Weber Road over Interstate 55, conducted construction of a new bridge structure adjacent to the existing bridge structure to form a diverging diamond interchange, constructed three lanes 12’ wide in each direction separated by a varying 6’ to 30’ wide raised curbed median on Weber Road, completed intersection improvements at Normantown Road, Lakeview Drive, Remington Boulevard/Windham Parkway, Carlow Drive, and Rodeo Drive / Remington Boulevard, replaced the roadway and interchange signage and drainage systems, constructed a separate 10’ wide multi-use path and a 5’ wide sidewalk, completed traffic signal improvements at the intersections of Normantown Road, interchange ramps, Remington Boulevard/Windham Parkway, and Rodeo Drive/Remington Boulevard, installed intersection lighting, constructed noise and retaining walls, and created aesthetic landscaping.
