QEI performed the construction inspection, testing, and documentation of earthwork, aggregates, pipes, concrete, asphalt, and steel materials incorporated into the I-74 Bridge to ensure they met the Iowa Department of Transportation’s processes and specifications. Time and material activities were monitored and documented for resolution and assurance of accurate and timely payments for the extra work performed. All documentation was done using electronic systems, including Doc Express, Field Book, and Field Manager. QEI provided construction inspection and documentation of the contractor’s work, including subwork, measuring removal items, daily documentation, and assisted in preparing progress payments, for the demolition of the old I-74 bridge.
