QEI provided an inspector and materials documentation on this $80 million tied arch bridge connecting Savanna, Illinois, and Sabula, Iowa. Performed field observations and documentation of construction techniques and quantities as needed. Verified all material is in conformance with the contract specifications. QEI reviewed material sourcing, bills of lading, certification, heat numbers, coating thickness verification, etc., for electronic records keeping. Inspected drilled shaft and coffer dam installations, rebar placement, and concrete pours; conducted storm sewer inspection, underdrain inspection, aggregate subgrade improvement, curb and gutter including handicaps ramps, PCC driveway, guardrail, articular block mat, riprap, and earthwork. QEI also provided construction oversight, including inspection and documentation of the contractor’s work, assisted in contract administration, verified certified payrolls, and compliance with DBE requirements.
