QEI was involved with inspecting and documenting all the construction work occurring during the first season. That work included the installation of 8’ x5’ concrete boxes as part of the Storm Sewer from the outlet into the Galena River to High Street. Inspection included unsuitable soil removal, backfilling, and roadway base placement from Main to Hill Streets. QEI staff assisted with Utility coordination within the work area and relocation undertaken during the storm sewer installation. QEI inspected the multi-use path, parking lot, retaining walls, PCC paving of the CC&G, and the Mainline while working with materials on the color added to the concrete. QEI staff inspected, in part, the installation of signal upgrades and assisted with Traffic Control monitoring throughout the project, including along Gear Street.
