Civil Engineer – Roadway Designer
Salary Range – $80,000 – $95,000
Quigg Engineering Inc. (QEI) is seeking a dynamic Civil Engineer to join our team full-time in our Springfield, IL Office. QEI is a multi-disciplined civil engineering and surveying firm servicing private and public sectors in Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, and Iowa. We are a certified DBE community-oriented consulting firm specializing in design, planning, surveying, structural analysis, construction inspection and environmental studies for state DOTS, tollway, municipalities, and utility companies including residential, commercial, and industrial development projects. Responsibilities:
- Planning and design of roadway and related projects
- Preparation of Phase I roadway studies
- Preparation of Phase II roadway plans, specifications, and estimates
- Preparation of stormwater drainage studies and final drainage plans
- Interact with junior staff
- Interact with public and private clients
Qualifications:
- S. in civil engineering
- Professional licensure in Illinois is required
- Minimum 4 – 8 years of work experience preferably with transportation projects
- Ability to lead a project and direct junior-level staff
- Ability to act as lead roadway designer on projects with multiple disciplines
- Experience working with Illinois DOT, Illinois Tollway, or local agencies preferred
- Proficiency in Microstation/Geopak SS10/Connect/ORD preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Traffic Signal Design experience a plus
