Civil Engineer – Roadway Designer – Junior Level
Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000
Quigg Engineering Inc. (QEI) is seeking a dynamic junior-level Civil Engineer (0 to 4 years experience) to join our team full-time in our St. Louis, MO Office. QEI is a multi-disciplined civil engineering and surveying firm servicing private and public sectors in Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, and Iowa. We are a certified DBE/WBE community-oriented consulting firm specializing in roadway design, planning, surveying, structural analysis and design, construction inspection, and environmental studies for state DOTS, tollway, municipalities, and utility companies including residential, commercial, and industrial development projects. Responsibilities:
- Planning and design of roadway and related projects
- Preparation of Phase I roadway studies
- Preparation of Phase II roadway plans, specifications, and estimates
- Preparation of stormwater drainage studies and final drainage plans
- Interact with junior and senior-level staff
- Interact with public and private clients
Qualifications:
- B.S. in civil engineering
- Strong academic background with coursework in Civil Engineering ideally with a Transportation focus
- EI licensure or the ability to pass the FE exam in the first 6 months of employment
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to new challenges
- Familiarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Microstation, Synchro, and HCS
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite
